D’LIGHT NORWAY BESIDES USER ALSO PARTNER
Morten Bakke, owner and director of D’Light Norway and OakSoft director Geert van Erven have signed an agreement last week to an extensive cooperation between the partners. Where both are working on the implementation and development of OakTree Rent, D’Light will also become the first international Business Partner for the Scandinavian countries. Besides this OakSoft and D’Light have together spend a lot of energy working on the most modern software and RFid solution for AV-rental companies. The fruits of this cooperation will be shown at the Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt am Main, where the RFid solution shall be introduced.
Norway
“After we asked several software suppliers to think along with us about a RFid solution for our AV-rental company, we often heard we didn’t know what we were going to get into. An other supplier told us it was no problem, if we had a budget of 100.000 euro’s! Then I contacted OakSoft and they were so enthusiastic about what we were looking for that they immediately came to Oslo to become acquainted with us and to make an inventory.”, said Morten Bakke from D’Light.
“A fantastic guy who proudly showed us his company. Besides that the hospitality was so heart-warming that we quickly knew there was a click between us and the whole D’Light team”, says Geert van Erven, OakSoft Director.
RFid solution
“After our meeting we immediately started looking for a RFid supplier who was willing to set up this project for D’Light with us. But despite several phone calls the known RFid suppliers in the Netherlands were not even willing to talk to us. Then we started looking in Norway for a supplier in Norway. Morten Bakke eventually found a RFid supplier who got to work for us. Soon it appeared that the many cables and the flight-case in flight-case packaging didn’t cause any problems. Which was very special. After that things went fast and we are now doing everything we can to be ready in time for the Prolight and Sound 2010”, says Technical Director Henk Eikelboom. “We are now working very hard on the last prototyping of the last integration in our rental package OakTree Rent”.
Business Partner OakTree Rent
OakSoft and D’Light soon noticed that a real cooperation was forming. So D’Light offered to be a beta tester of OakTree Rent and chose to use OakTree Rent in the own Norwegian language. Besides this, Morten Bakke has flown throughout Europe for OakSoft to make sure everything would be ready in time for the Prolight and Sound, which shows there is a real partnership between both companies. “We are now work with the RMS package, but have been looking for a new package. OakTree Rent will become our most important office software, making it very comfortable to be able to work in your own language. This is the reason why there was quickly a good feeling between OakSoft and us. Their management reacted very sincere and enthusiastic to our ideas. Then we offered to take on the role of dealer in the Scandinavian countries. OakSoft saw the advantages of this and so we are now not only end user of OakTree Rent, but also Business Partner for Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark.”, says Morten Bakke.
Prolight en Sound 2010
D’Light and Oaksoft are right now very busy with the preparations of the Prolight and Sound. The 33m² stand area has been designed. D’Light comes to support us and our client HVR Showequipment comes with a truckload of material to build up the stand, and the RFid arch with the necessary materials to demonstrate this solution to the industry.
