Depot management
Depot management
OakTree Business Suite supports the use of one or multiple depot locations. By means of transfers and separate stock management you can see the status of your rental stock at any point in time. Shortages can be transported between different locations by means of internal transfers. OakTree provides the option of choosing rental assignments or retrieving consumables by means of pick-up lists.
SALES ITEMS AND CONSUMABLES
You also have the option of generating order advice lists for sales items on the basis of the minimal supply, existing sales orders or minimal order amounts. All this takes your suppliers’ and products’ average delivery times into account.
BAR CODES AND RFID?
For years there has been discussion concerning the use of RFid within the rental branch. A true solution has never been offered. Several studies have shown that scanning a single item with RFid is not a problem, but wiring in a flight case within a flight case leads to instant problems. Nevertheless, OakTree took the initiative together with some suppliers of RFid products to creating an integrated connection between RFid scanners and the OakTree supply system. Together with one of our pilot clients and RFid partner we are now implementing an innovative RFid installation.
Because OakTree Rent has been developed using the most modern techniques in automation, these integrations are not a problem. The problems mainly lie in the RFid chips. As soon as the test project has given us a positive working example, we will inform you. OakTree is still looking for pilot clients that want to participate in the RFid project. Bar Codes
Your company’s use of Bar codes in combination with OakTree Business Suite is fully supported. From using OakTree itself, it has become clear that users have had positive experiences with showing the Bar codes on screen. Several Bar code scanners appear to have no trouble at all with scanning these codes. The advantage is that it is possible to use an on-screen scan label, which makes adding and removing supplies fast and efficient.
